Volunteer: Manufactured Wire Reef Fabrication | April 2026Please Note: You must ALSO register here. The Coastal Conservation League and S.C. Department of Natural Resources need your help! Together, you'll build Manufactured Wire Reefs which will be used in future oyster reef restoration projects! What's involved? By working in teams, you'll use the tools provided to shape wire into oyster cages, and add then fill them with recycled oyster shells. Don't worry! No experience is needed, and the Volunteer Leads from the Coastal Conservation League and SC DNR will be onsite to help you every step of the way. Why does this matter? The completed wire oyster reefs play a pivotal role in helping keep our water ways healthy by supporting wild oyster populations and protecting our shorelines. Plus, it's a pretty fun project!
