Who We Are

Windwood Family Services provides help, hope, and healing to children and families affected by abuse, neglect, or trauma through residential programs and community services.

Windwood Farms serves boys ages 6-16 who have either 1) experienced prior abuse and neglect and are in the custody of SC Department of Social Services or 2) experiencing behavioral issues without abuse or neglect in their background and are in their parent's custody.

Windwood Family-Centered Community Support Services serves children and adults of all ages throughout Charleston and Dorchester Counties. The community program caseworkers provide resources and services focused on resolving issues in the home to keep families together and children out of protective custody.

What We Do

At Windwood Farm, we provide a stable environment for boys to heal and unlock their full potential, giving them the tools they need to succeed at home, in school, and in the community.

Our residential therapeutic programs help children maximize their potential through strong academics, recreational and clinical interventions, and positive relationships with peers. adults, and nature. It is designed to give each child a chance to succeed academically, socially, and economically.

While at Windwood, the boys learn age-appropriate social and communication skills, acquire the ability to resolve conflicts and manage their anger, and learn to extinguish the disruptive behaviors patterns and prevented them from leading successful lives.

Family-Centered Community Support Services helps families stay together through challenging times and keeps children out of protective custody. 98% of families that complete the program stay together.
