Please Note: In order to volunteer you must complete the attached form and return it to Cora Tardiff (PerryC550@gmail.com). Surfers Healing WILL NOT accept walk up volunteers the day of the event.
About Surfers Healing: Surfers Healing is a national nonprofit that's committed to enriching the lives of people living with autism by providing one perfect day of surfing in an atmosphere of total acceptance. This is the chance of a lifetime for so many families to enjoy an unforgettable day on the beach, at no cost to them. Fun Fact, 2026 will be the nonprofits 18th year of hosting this event on Folly Beach!
What to Expect: REV is once again teaming up with Surfers Healing Folly Beach to create "ONE PERFECT DAY" for individuals with autism. As a volunteer, you're playing a crucial role in supporting the festivities. Once onsite, please make sure to report to the Volunteer Registration Tent to receive your color coded wrist band and name tag. Volunteer duties include:
- Event Set-up: This crew will unload equipment & supplies from vehicles & set up & organize the event site on the beach before the camp begins. Includes heavy lifting of tents, coolers, tables, etc.
- Food/Beverage Tent: This crew will work in the food/beverage tents and will help serve breakfast, lunch, snacks & drinks throughout the day to surfers and their families, volunteers, and the Surfer’s Healing staff.
- Break Down & Clean Up: This is very important and we ask that afternoon volunteers stay in order to ensure we leave the beach as we found it.
- Greeters and Beach Helpers: In this duty, you will be helping children and families get down to the beach, direct them to check in, and help as needed.
- Cheering Squad: Spending time down by the water with families cheering on all the amazing surfers.
