The REV rest stop location will be at St Philips AME Church - 3205 Steed Creek Rd, Huger, SC 29450. We will need 6 volunteers there from 8:15am-12:15pm. You are welcome to sign-up for a two hour shift, or stay for both shifts for a total of four hours. We'll decorate the rest stop with a theme bring promotional swag items, and connect with participants throughout the ride. The table, tent, snacks, and water for the rest stop will all be provided.
Those who participate are also invited to the Finish Festival on the Isle of Palms starting at 2:00 PM for a little fun! Our Finish Line Block Party on Isle of Palms will have live music, fun photo opps., catering from Swig N Swine, local vendors and much more fun for everyone to enjoy. With the City of Isle of Palms, Firefly Distillery, The Co-Op Frosé & Eatery, and Charleston Radio Group as some of our new sponsors – you can expect to cross the finish line on Ocean Blvd into a family-friendly block party! Commonhouse Ale Works and Tradesman Brewery will be serving several beer options and all participants will receive (1) complimentary drink ticket for a cocktail from The Dinghy Restaurant and (1) Complimentary ticket for a Frosé from The Co-Op. These tickets will be tear-offs on your rider bib.
About LOWVELO
LOWVELO is an annual fundraising event that rallies the community for one cause – funding lifesaving cancer research. Our goal is to eradicate cancer by supporting research into new treatments and discoveries at MUSC Hollings Cancer Center(opens in a new tab), the only National Cancer Institute-designated cancer center in South Carolina. Cyclists have the option of choosing one of four routes based on their desired distance – 10 miles, 22 miles, 57 miles, or 100 miles.
